We didn’t plan on building an invoicing software.
Back in 2015, we just needed to send an invoice — nothing fancy, nothing complicated. We tried what everyone else was using, but it all felt wrong. The big corporate software made us feel like we were running an accounting department instead of a business. The so-called “simple” apps were so stripped down, they actually created more work.
None of it fit the way we worked or the way we thought about business. It all felt like it was built for someone else. None of it seemed to understand what it’s like to actually run a small business.
So we built our own, first little invoice generator. Just for ourselves. Simple, quick, and with the small touches we really needed. Then we shared it with a couple of friends. They shared it with their friends. And before we knew it, we made a whole lot of friends.
It was never supposed to be a business. But the more we grew our own businesses, the more this little tool grew with us — quietly, steadily, picking up the kinds of thoughtful features that small business owners actually need in real life.
Not because some product manager dreamed them up, but because we were living it and using it, ourselves.
What we believe
Running a business is hard enough. And despite all the hype, the AI revolution has only made things feel more complicated, not less. But here’s what we know for sure: you shouldn’t have to pick between software that's overcomplicated and software that oversimplified.
There’s a middle ground, and that’s what InvoiceQuick is.
We believe software should earn its place on your screen. It should feel like a quiet partner, the kind you don’t have to fight with. It should stay out of your way when you’re working and step up when you actually need it. It should take care of the boring stuff so you can get back to the good stuff.
And it should always, always remind you: this is your business, not ours.
Why we’re still here
We didn’t set out to win awards or chase investors. We set out to solve our own problem, and along the way, we discovered we weren’t alone. Turns out a lot of people were quietly frustrated by the same things we were.
Today, we’re lucky enough to have thousands of small business owners using InvoiceQuick, not because we shouted the loudest or ran ad campaigns — but because the story resonated and the tool simply worked for them.
We’ll keep listening. We’ll keep improving. We’ll keep building the invoicing platform that respects your time and your business.
It’s not perfect yet. Neither are we. But that’s the whole point.
If that sounds like the kind of tool you’ve been looking for, we welcome you to join us.
So... what's next?
Invoices don’t just happen. Before you send one, there are conversations. Relationships. Decisions. The work of earning the sale. That’s what we’re thinking about now — how to make everything that leads up to an invoice feel just as simple, just as natural.
We’re not ready to share the details yet. But something’s coming. And we think you’ll like where it takes you.
And of course...
None of this would exist without the people who took a chance on our little invoice generator all those years ago — and everyone who’s joined us since. You’ve shaped what InvoiceQuick is today, and you keep shaping what it will become tomorrow.
For that, we’re grateful. 🙏
Thank you for trusting us with a small part of your business.
